    Jessica Ajoux has been involved in dog training and Agility since 1999 and is currently an active competitor, instructor, and Agility judge. Jessica started her Agility career at the age of fourteen with her first dog, Mocha, a rescue from the pound. She has since expanded her knowledge of dog training through involvement in Tracking, Herding, Frisbee and Obedience. In 2004, Jessica was approved as an official Agility judge for the United States Dog Agility Association and currently judges around the country when she is not teaching or competing.  

    Originally from Southern California, Jessica is currently located in New Jersey. A graduate of Princeton University in spring 2007 with a degree in Psychology, Jessica considers herself a “student of the game.” She has trained and learned from a variety of top trainers on both coasts and works hard to stay on the cutting edge of this ever evolving sport. Her greatest influence has been studying and apprenticing with world renowned trainer, Diane Bauman. Jessica’s most recent accomplishment is having co-authored with Bauman Agility Start to Finish, a comprehensive Agility training manual published in April 2008. .

    Jessica started teaching in 2005 and currently teaches Agility for all levels along with puppy and basic obedience. Jessica is familiar with a variety of breeds and has trained and competed with All-Americans, Border Collies and Cocker Spaniels. This diversity allowed her to learn to how to tailor her methods and techniques to fit each particular dog and handler team. As a result, Jessica knows how to tailor her methods and techniques to fit the particular dog and handler team.   

    As an instructor, Jessica is committed to sharing her knowledge and understanding of all facets of Agility with her students. Her experience as a Division I varsity collegiate athlete taught her the mental aspects of competition and pressure, while her academic and “Agility” backgrounds have contributed to her problem solving abilities. Whether student’s aspirations lie in the competition ring or the backyard, Jessica is dedicated to helping her students achieve their goals and succeed.
